Citadel of Grace Home 5th Time Lucky, Win Kidsport Cup Season 10

The Citadel of Grace Home returned as champions of the annual Kidsport Charity Cup in the 10th edition held at the weekend at the Campos Mini Stadium on Lagos Island.
The Kidsport Charity Cup is an annual football competition among orphanages and less privileged homes in Lagos State.
The tournament, which was played on round robin basis by eight teams, saw Citadel beating Project Friendship Initiative (PFI) 2-1 to win the competition for a record fifth time.
While PFI were second, Kidsport FC came third after defeating Arrow of God 4-2 penalties after 1-1 draw in the regulation time.
David Hall School won the Island Super 4 competition packaged for the schools on the Lagos Island.

Dignitaries at the event included the CEO of Mama Cass, Mrs Onabowale. The CEO of Shiron Nigeria was represented by directors of the company, Lisa Ole Nnana Kalu and Nnana Ole Nnana Kalu.
Celebrities such as Chinco Ekun, the Able God crooner, Holy Swagger, Flyphil and Iam Jimmie came to spice up the event. They also played in the novelty match as Kidsport All Stars Team.
Kidsport Charity Cup was proudly supported by Shiron Nigeria, Mama Cass, Airtel Nigeria, Greysilk, Icarus Advisory and Titilayo Alayaki Photography.
The eight teams that competed in Kidsport Charity Cup Season 10 were SOS, Isolo, SOS, Owu, Street Child Care and Welfare Initiative, Citadel of Grace Home, Arrows of God, Project Friendship Initiative, Child Life Line and Habitation of Hope.
