The Bash Ali Fans Club (BAFCON) presented a branded T-shirt to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung during the inauguration of the Local Organizing Committee ((LOC) of the Bash Ali Guinness World Record Boxing Championship which was held in Abuja on Tuesday.
The presentation was made by the President of the Club, Mr. Dickson Ayorinde Oshin.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that BAFCON is the only recognized support group with a large fans base in the Bash Ali’s Project with members spread across all the states of the country.
Ayorinde Oshin led some members of the fans club from Lagos and other parts of the country to the inauguration held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Conference Room.
BAFCON president commended Dalung who “despite his busy schedule and the remaining short span in the life of this administration has worked relentlessly to put in place a process that will ultimately lead to the realisation of the world boxing championship, the Guinness World Record Boxing fight involving our own, the undefeated world champion, Baah Ali (OON).
“I wish to state that beyond the global honour that this fight will bring to Nigeria, the economic benefits cannot be over-emphasized. Suffice to say here that Bash Alli has drawn up plans to create employment opportunities for thousands of our citizens by establishing sports academies in all the geo-political zones of the country as well as a sports equipment manufacturing company. Noteworthy also is the opportunity that will be opened to our talented teeming youths who will get a world class training to be able to excel in their chosen sports.
“At this juncture, I will enjoined all members of the LOC to get down to work as we have a very short time, and I wish to specially thank the President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) and the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (GCON) for their unwavering support, confidence and believe in the success of this Nigeria Project.”
