California Set For Third Annual Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards

Organizers of the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards recently announced that its third edition will be held on Sunday November 3, 2019 at the historic Alex Theater in Glendale, California.

The theme for this year is tagged – Re-telling The African Story, basically to showcase the best of black cultural heritage on the global platform.

The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPAwards) celebrates outstanding individuals whose lives have been marked by extraordinary milestones and accomplishments.

The platform www.hapawards.com helps to connect talented Africans with the Hollywood Entertainment Industry and contributes to assisting several communities in Africa and across the United States.

During an interactive session, Adeola Odunowo, Producer and African Representative of the HAPAwards, said:“We are focused on celebrating personalities, artists and talents who have made transformative marks of change in the films, music, comedy, social media and fashion industry. Our task is to continuously narrate the unique values of contemporary culture which is fused into a rich heritage and history, as we showcase the best of Africa”.

While Ms. Tina Weisinger, Founder and Executive Producer of the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards promised an exciting and historic event, with activities to include the HAPA International Business Roundtable (HIBR), Fashion and Music Night, the Main Award Show and a star studded After-Party celebration among others.

Weisinger also confirmed the African King of Comedy – Michael Blackson as the host for the 2019 HAPAwards.

“We recognize the support from Virgin Atlantic and dignitaries like His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi and the Oluwo of Iwo Land, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi for their extensive contributions to development in the society,” she said.

Over the years, the HAPAwards has honored other royalties like His Imperial Majesty, The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi- Ojaja II, King of Swaziland, His Majesty, Ngwenyama King Mswati III, Former WBA Heavyweight Champion Honorable Gerrie Coetzee, Reverend Mother Abimbola Ajayi and Todd Bridges along with select Politicians, Dignitaries, Hollywood & African A-List Actors, Musicians, Comedians and Activists.

The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards was founded in 2017 to bridge the cultural gap between Africa and the global community.

The awards promotes creativity, showcases unique talents with rich African heritage while honoring outstanding achievements by celebrities, musicians, comedians, sports personalities, community leaders and dignitaries.
