DStv, Nickelodeon Promote Family Values And Entertainment

Posted on September 30, 2019

Apart from good food, a wide safe place for play, children have an undying love for entertainment- which may come in the form of games, movies, and every kind of adventure; something that keeps the adrenalin pumping, the fun that keeps the heart racing and the laughter unending. Children don’t just love this; they crave it and will do anything to get their parents to provide high quality entertainment for them.

Of course, there exists children who have a proclivity towards books and activities that task their mental capacity.

These categories of children even when they find themselves in places where there’s so much fun and entertainment, they still find a way to keep their nerdy toga aside and participate in some of these fun activities.

MultiChoice; the foremost pay TV entertainment company has the family at the core of its content offerings- providing wholesome entertainment content for every member of the family.

Little wonder, the MultiChoice Nigeria Chief Customer Officer Martin Mabutho said; “We at MultiChoice Nigeria, are proud to be one of the sponsors of the third edition of Nick Fest 2019. We place a premium on family values and the integral role children play within that ecosystem and this is evident in some of the content on both DStv and GOtv; these are specially designed to bring families together and foster unity amongst them. So being one of the sponsors of this event is very much an extension of who we are as a company and what we stand for.”

In a lot of homes, the father tends to favour the sports and news channels, while the mums are wont to binge on soap operas, series and telenovelas, children on the other hand have an abundance of kiddies’ channels to keep them entertained and enlightened.

They laugh, they cry (tears of joy and empathy), they learn from all the choice contents that are available on both the DStv and GOtv platforms.

In essence the cord of a family becomes firmer and stronger when they can sit down together, with a bowl of popcorn and drinks, and enjoy some form of entertainment.

So, it’s not just a family that prays together that stays together, the family that watch TV together also grow in love, friendship and affection together.

The marriage of DStv and Nickelodeon is one that birth a lot of joy and excitement for the children and their parents.

The event  which held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday and Sunday September 28-29, see kids have the opportunity to watch a twenty minute performances by their favourite Nickelodeon characters (Paw Patrol, Shimmer and Shine,  Sponge Bob Square Pants, and The Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

There was also lots of activities and games (rides, face painting, arts and crafts, computer games) that kept the kids entertained.

Isn’t it interesting that in Nigeria Saturdays and Sundays are specially dedicated to, either sit down at home and enjoy all the high-quality content on DStv, or they find some fun place; which can either be a cinema or an amusement park, for relaxation and fun?

So, this year’s NickFest is spot on as family have a place to go to for their weekend entertainment.

So, NickFest provides that one stop shop for children to be entertained.

Children get to see and take memorable pictures with their favourite cartoon character. Wouldn’t it be awesome to look back at some of those pictures when they’re much older and have DStv to thank for supporting Nickelodeon in bringing them to that fun place that created such memories?
