Lagos Open Tennis: 1st Leg Champion, Hemery Sets To Repeat Feat, Faces Tunisian Foe In S/Final

The 19th Lagos Open Tennis is gradually drawing to a close with the semi final matches scheduled for Saturday at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan.
Champion of the men’s singles in the first leg last week, Frenchman Calvin Hemery is hoping to repeat the same feat this weekend, but he has to contend with the opposition from a Tunisian player, Aziz Quakaa in one of the semi matches today.
In the other semis, 2015 champion Aldin Sektic will face Zimbabwe’s Takanyi Garanganga.
In the women’s semi finals, there will be an all-Indian clash between Riya Bhatia and Rutuja Bhosale in one of the matches, while second seed Valeriya Strakhova goes head to head with 4th seed Nastja Kolar.
The doubles finals will also be decided on Saturday. The Lock brothers, Benjamin and Courtney will do battle with William Bushamuka and Aryan Goveas. They lost in the final last week.
In the women’s doubles, Rutuja Bhosale and Laura Pigossi will face Sandra Samir and Prarthana Thombare
