CYRIACUS IZUEKWE
Social critic and Human Rights activist, Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, has commended the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulu, for his patriotic disposition and encouragement to class teacher, Mrs. Obiageli Mazi, who came to school as early as 6,30am waiting for his pupils to come to school.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mrs. Obiageri Mazi’s patriotic punctuality and desire to impact knowledge to pupils prompted the Governor to promote her to Assistant Headmistress as a foundation to encourage hard works and selfless services.
“I commend Gov Professor Babagana Zulum for his sacrifices; to discomfort himself to visit the school as early as 6.30am is a clear indication that he is fanatic when it comes to the welfare and interest of the people. The Governor’s benevolence towards the honest, conscientious and patriotic teacher, Obiageli Mazi, will not only encourage hard work and punctuality but will foster national interest, unity and cohesion” he said.
Ezekweme noted that significantly, Mrs. Obiageli Mazi deserved commendation and emulation because for Nigeria of our dreams, hopes and aspirations to be actualized, other Civil and Public Servants should emulate her diligence to duty.
He appealed to the Federal Government to give National Honours to the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, and Mrs. Obiageli Mazi in order to encourage them and motivate others to render selfless services to our dear country.
“I applaud the Chairman of Borno State Universal Basic Education for finding her worthy of recommendation for promotion by his Excellency based on merit and not by tribal leanings notwithstanding, is a glaring testimony that there is hope for the country.”
Ezekwueme called on leaders to emulate Governor Babagana Zulum to pay impromptu visits and accept constructive criticism as greatest weapon of good governance. Ezekwueme posited that the Governor’s good motive in politics and service of God and humanity if implemented by political class our good will be made better our better best.
