5 Million Plastic Challenge: YESS Pick Over 15,000 Plastic Bottles

Posted on September 26, 2020

Earlier today, members of YESS Anambra led by the Convener, Dr Nelson Omenugha, took to major Streets of Awka, the Anambra State Capital, in support of the 5million Plastic Challenge.

So far, the group has picked over 15,000 bottles of plastic wastes across the State.

Environmental Sustainability is one of the cardinal goals of the SDGs and YESS Anambra, a Political advocacy group founded on the ideals of Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, is in the lead for a more sustainable environment in our dear Anambra State.

This project is an initiative of the Anambra State Waste Management Agency (ASWAMA). YESS Anambra is proud to identify and partner with them in this mission to a cleaner, greener and healthier Anambra State.
