Regal Secondary School Gets New School Library & Science Laboratory Sponsored By Ekwunife

Anambra Central Senatorial District has again recorded another completed constituency project with the commissioning of a New School Library and Science Laboratory at Regal Secondary School Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

On Wednesday, the Project Team of the Senator representing the Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) together with the President General of Nri Kingdom, Chief Dr Kelvin Obiegbunam, the Management of the School led by its Principal, Lady Jane Ebele Agu, and some Anaocha LGA and Nri community stakeholders commissioned the newly built School Library and Science Laboratory sponsored by Senator Ekwunife.

Speaking during the project commissioning, the Director of Project Anambra Central Liaison Office and Former Commissioner for Women Affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata conveyed the Senator’s message of appreciation to the community and the school management for cooperating with the contractor while the project execution lasted.

Lady Agbata noted that the project is one out of many projects the Senator has embarked on in many communities within the Senatorial District in line with her commitment towards addressing the developmental needs of the people. She thanked everyone present at the occasion to witness the project commissioning.

In her welcome address, the Principal of the School, Lady Jane Agu while appreciating the Senator for her benevolence, noted that the management, Students and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of the School are overwhelmed by the delivery of the new library and science laboratory block to the school.

Part of her speech read, “this project was delivered at a time our school is in dire need of a library and science laboratory block to enhance teaching and learning. The Senator has through the delivery of this laudable project expressed her love for Education which we all agree is key to human capital development.”

On his part, the President General of Nri, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam thanked the Senator on behalf of the community. He noted that the Senator has been instrumental to many developmental projects in the community.

The President General while describing Senator Ekwunife who also bears the prestigious title of Anyanwu Nri Kingdom as a blessing to the Kingdom, stated that the community will beyond individual political affiliations continue to support the Senator in all her political endeavours. He prayed God to strengthen the Lawmaker in her mission to offer her constituents effective representation.

Other notable personalities who attended the event included, PDP Chairman Anaocha LGA, Chief Jude Onyeanwuna, PDP Chairman Nri Ward 1, Onyeka Nwaoguji, A member of the project team and Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Anaocha Coordinator, Senator Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organization (SUECO), Joe Muonago, PDP Woman Leader Nri Ward 1, Mrs Atikpo, PDP Anaocha Youth Leader, Felix Anene, National Youth Service Corps Members, amongst others.
