PROMISE EMMANUEL

His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja, has congratulated the 21 Local Government Area Chairmen of Kogi State along with their Female Deputies, which confirms the 35% affirmative constitutional action of women in politics under the All Progressives Congress, led by His Excellency, the Governor and party Leader in the State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

According to him, Governor Bello is the only Governor in Nigeria who has prioritized security and does not compromise on that front. He also stated that Governor Bello is first in history in Nigeria to involve women at this level in politics. He also advised the Chairmen to ensure prompt payment of salaries like Governor Bello does at the state level.

He further charged the newly inaugurated chairmen to chart the leadership course of Governor Yahaya Bello which frowns at banditry in the state, rejection of ethnic bias, class bias, religious bias and all forms of primordial sentiments.

He charged them to also populate their team with qualified and grassroot oriented young people who would help them deliver good governance at the third tier of governance.  He prayed for Godspeed, wisdom and protection as they serve the people of Kogi state at their various LGAs.
