LG Election: Rekiyah Hassan’s Aspiration Receives Huge Boost With Massive Endorsement

It was a sea of heads at the Police College, Ikeja area of Lagos, on Tuesday 25th May, 2021, as thousands of All Progressives Congress supporters, friends and associates gathered to show support for the Chairmanship aspiration of Hon. Barr. Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan tagged ‘Funky 2021″.

The loyal and committed Hon. Barr. Rekiyah, at the event, officially flagged off her campaign towards the forthcoming Council Election, where she is hoping to become the new Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.

Rekiyah, who is regarded by many as a good team player, was a former Assistant Legal Adviser of the party and currently the Vice Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Lagos State.



At the event, which was attended by the All Progressive Congress, APC Apex leaders in the Council area, the respected Lawyer used the opportunity to reel out the keys areas which will receive immediate attention as soon as she becomes the Council Chairman as well as the policy direction of her administration.

The event was also an opportunity for other aspirants, who had stepped down to join her team, to assure their teeming supporters of having a capable hand in the person of Hon. Barr. Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan. One of the leading aspirants, Adamson Oluwatosin Ayinde (Imole), said he had to collapse his campaign structure and join forces with the incumbent Vice Chairman, Rekiyah, because their vision for the future of the Council area tallied.





The well attended flag off event also had in attendance the Oba of Onigbongbo, HRM Oba Oluwasegun Adeyemi Ajasa Olaside 1(Awuse of Onigbongbo), ably represented by the Council of Chiefs headed by the Asoju Oba, Chief Ganiu Sadiq, the Oba of Oregun was equally represented his Chiefs, the former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Lagos State, Chief Ebenezer Akinbolade, Barr. Sawyer, Hon Wale Okesola, Alh. Olorunosebi, former SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Oluremi Sopeyin, former Vice Chairman, Hon Gbolahan Idris, former Vice Chairman, Hon Wakeel Sadiq, Youth groups, Women leaders, Community Leaders, market men and women and a huge number of party loyalists from across the Wards that made up the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.
