ANAMBRA 2021: APGA UK ENDORSES SOLUDO

A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY APGA UK, ON THE ENDORSEMENT OF PROF. CHARLES CHUKWUMA SOLUDO AS THE GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE GRAND ALLIANCE, APGA, IN THE FORTHCOMING ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

After a strategic meeting of the leadership and Board of Trustees of APGA UK Chapter, held on 15th May, 2021 in London, where we painstakingly profiled the personalities of all the APGA Governorship aspirants in Anambra State, drawing inference from their Leadership competence, academic background, administrative proficiency and other important variables. 

We considered it as highly imperative to take a critical decision at this point in time in recommending for the party the best candidate with the required ability of leading the party to victory.

Our decision is predicated on the general interest of  our  party especially in ensuring that APGA produces the best candidate as the party standard bearer in the forthcoming Governorship election in Anambra State. 

There is no doubt that APGA parades arrays of most credible aspirants in the state but there is a best among equal. 

Our choice of candidate is indeed guided by some strategic factors.  Someone who has the ability of sustaining  the legacies of Governor Willie Obiano. Someone  who has the necessary vision , passion, intellectual prowess, insight and charisma required for leadership responsibility. And also someone who has the greater capacity of leading the party to Victory considering his acceptability and cross boarder outreach.

After a clinical evaluation, wider consultation, due diligence and critical analysis, we uncompromisingly endorse Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the candidate of our great party in the forthcoming Governorship election in Anambra State. 

Our decision is based on  the fact that Prof Charles Soludo is the only aspirant in the party that has the will power to pursue the ideals of common good and that of the party. He is a leader with high intellectual mobility, innovative craft and resounding artistry for progressivism. He is a man of selfless transcendence and intrepid conscience who has proved his Leadership mettle in different capacities.

As the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Soludo left an indelible marks in the annals of history which cannot be wiped out on the sand of times. He  is a household name is Anambra politics, he has been mainstreamed into the Pinnacle of Anambra political firmament. His clear thought process, High intellectual capacity and the novelty and profundity of his ideas will generate a deep transformation in governance of Anambra State.

As a renowned International Consultant, who has offered professional advises  and consultations to over 20 international financial and development institutions of the world including the World Bank, IMF, African Development Bank, UNDP, USAID, UK-DFID, European Union, etc; there is no doubt that Prof Soludo will bring his contact and wealth of experience to bare in developing Anambra State as among the comity of states. Also, as the  founder of Africa Finance Corporation with over U$6 billion investment in Africa, we believe that Prof Soludo will transform  Anambra State as  the most economically viable states of the federation.

With the current reduction in oil price and drastic fall in allocations from Abuja, Anambra needs someone with the technical ability of mobilizing project and development towards  transforming  Anambra State.
With the candidacy of Prof. Charles Soludo, Victory is sure for our party. 
It is in view of the foregoing, we hereby endorse Prof. Charles Soludo as the candidate of our great party.
