How Married Man, 50, Fondled Bre*sts Of Girl, 14 & Slept With Her

A 50-year old married man, Alani Rafiu, has landed in prison custody after he allegedly lured a 14-year old girl, fondled her breasts and got her confused before sleeping with her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Rafiu is now facing the charge of defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.

The incident happened at Church Bus Stop in Abaranje, Ikotun area of Lagos State, where they reside.

According to Police sources, the man, Rafiu, lured the girl into his apartment when the members of his family were not around. He was said to have used words of mouth to confuse her, then fondled her breasts, which made her became more confused and he penetrated her.

However, after the act, the girl regained herself and raised alarm that she was raped because she never consented to the act.

The matter was then reported to the Police in the area and Rafiu was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section at State Command for interrogation.

During investigation, he insisted that he never raped her and whatever he did was with her consent while the girl insisted that he lured her into the act without her consent.

The Police found Rafiu culpable because the girl is still a minor and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

The Court did not take his plea after the Prosecutor, Supol Akeem Rank, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.I. Adelaja, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice while the prosecutor was directed to duplicate the file and send to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned pending when the DPP’s advice will be ready while the defendant will be remain in custody without an option of bail pending when the Court will properly resume sitting due to the Judicial strike.
