Female Bursar In Police Net For Carting Away N6.9m Children’s School Fees

Police operatives in Lagos State have arrested a 40-year old school bursar, Oluwabusola Oluwatosin, for allegedly tampering with the children’s school fees to the tune of N6.9m and she was eventually caught.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Early Beginners School, Ifako Ijaiye, where Oluwatosin was employed as the bursar.

She has been arrested and charged before Court for conspiracy and stealing and remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos.

The Police did not state how she was allowed to have such huge amount n her possession but stated the defendant and others at large falsified the school account and allegedly stole the money.

The matter was reported to the Police by the management and she was arrested. After interrogation and having been found culpable, she was subsequently charged before Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

She pleaded not guilty. 

The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. J.A. Adegun, granted her bail in the sun of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till 1st July, 2021, for mention while she was remanded in custody pending when she will perfect her bail conditions
