Edet Inyang: Buruj FC CEO Hails Goalkeeper For Impressive Performances

Edet Temitayo Sunday Inyang, born July 8, a native of Cross River, has been on top of his games in the Nationwide League One.
Technically, according to the commendations from the Coaches and Technical Crew, he has drastically improved and his willingness to learn is on the rise.
He has been responsive to training and now makes quick decisions in matches, which is the most important attribute a goalkeeper needs.
He has also gained more confidence after joining the academy, because lack of confidence makes players sets themselves back mentally and it is difficult to overcome the hurdle.
Another area he has raised his game is in positioning and footwork; in the recent games he featured, he was able to position himself during corners, free-kicks, one-on-one situations with an attacker and also took up different positions. In addition, he has been able to master his footwork and appears flexible when moving into positions or diving to stop shots.

According to the Club CEO, Dr. Waheed Buruj Salaudeen, “Edet’s parents are very responsible and play their parental roles very well. They have been pillars of support to him since he joined the Academy and they have instilled proper discipline in him. I give kudos to them”.
“Lack of confidence in him by the team made him forfeit the recently concluded Nationwide League One without featuring in the games.”

“His performance level aftermath has been breath taking. If he keeps up with the improvement, I can boast of a high level Goalkeeper in a not too distant future. He is advised to cut off any form of distraction, stay focused and dedicated to his craft, the sky is just a starting point” the Buruj FC CEO enthused.
