We’ve Not Been Highjacked – Enugu APC Ward Congress Committee

Posted on July 30, 2021

Following allegations that the All Progressives Congress Ward Congress Committee for Enugu State had been hijacked, the Chairman and members have come out to debunk such an allegation describing it as untrue.

This was made known to our correspondent in a statement put out by the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu and his Secretary Hon. Sherrif Jallaba.

In the statement, Dr Ijeomah decried the news that he had absconded with the result sheets to his home town in Arondizogu and stated that his committee was in Enugu to conduct a free and fair primaries and thus could not be in cahoots with any faction or group within the state.

Ijeomah explained reasons for the committee’s late arrival was due to logistical issues which was only resolved yesterday thus prompting the committee to come into Enugu on Friday morning.

“We all know that these committee was inaugurated like all other committees on Wednesday the 27th of July, 2021, however, we were not able to get the materials before yesterday evening thus influencing our decision to come in this morning and we have gone straight to business, all the materials for the congress are here with us and they are intact.

Let me assure Ndi Enugu APC that this committee can not be persuaded or intimidated to doing anything that is short of a credible, free and fair congress .”
