Enugu: APC Group Warns Ousted Ben Nwoye

Posted on August 23, 2021

An All Progressives Congress, APC, group under the auspices of Progressive Youths Alliance, PYA, has warned the former Caretaker Chairman of the APC in Enugu State, Ben Nwoye, to stop his incessant attacks on the National Leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC.

The embattled Ben Nwoye has resorted to virile attacks on the faces of leaders of the APC in Enugu State in the likes of the former Senate President and member of APC Caretaker Extra ordinary Convention Planning Committee, Senator Ken Nnamani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister Geoffrey Onyeama, Former Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Sullivan Chime, 2019 APC Senatorial Candidate, Princess Ada Ogbu, former Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, Flavour Eze, El Aja and other party leaders.

The group, PYA, urged the ousted Caretaker Chairman to tow the line of peace and seek for redress for the plethora of ills he committed during his tenure as the APC Caretaker Chairman in Enugu State as the APC is a political party with guidelines, rules and regulations and not a family business as it had been turned to over the last seven years.

Speaking after the meeting of stakeholders of the APC with the Ward Congress Appeal Committee from the National Secretariat, the spokesman of the group, a party stalwart and APC House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Joel Eze, told newsmen the position of PYA.
He said, “Respect to party leaders and stakeholders is both paramount and sacrosanct and any further attacks on our leaders we won’t hesitate to recommend for total expulsion from the party”.
“A good leader should also be a good follower and Ben Nwoye having been removed from the office as Caretaker Chairman of APC Enugu State should be a good follower unless he want to demonstrate to the world he is not good enough to lead. It is a breach of Congress guidelines and brazen neglect of APC Constitution to have gone to swear in unelected APC Chairman without the procedural guidelines of the party neglecting the Appeal Committee.”
“Our leaders are not behind your removal, rather your colleagues who felt dissatisfied with your modus operandi passed a vote of no confidence on you. The leaders have no hands in your removal and replacement rather the blind hand of justice having been trampled upon cried out.”

“Our leaders, who you castigate today, are the faces of APC in Enugu State and will stand for our future elections, fly the party flags and bring us trophy by winning elections for the APC. So any smear campaign against them is an attack on the greater APC and a subtle onslaught on the National body of the greatest party in Africa, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
