Imo State To Host The Green Rural Community Programme

Again the Imo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has attracted a Federal Government High powered programme and initiative that will cure the food insecurity – The Green Rural Community Programme.

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma disclosed this at the reception of the Honourable Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Hussein Adamu, on a working visit in the State.

The Governor added that apart from the value chain, the programme is also a source to create jobs for Imo Youths with the programme having potentials for sustainability.

Speaking earlier, the Minister for Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Hussein, stated the essence of their visit which is to commission the Imo Green Rural Community Programme, a modern and sustainable agrihood anchored the Sunghai Agro Farm, Porto-Novo. He further added that the scheme will be of immense benefit to the people of Imo State.
