Chief Executive Officer of Oloto Construction & Futol Groups, Prince Fuhad Oloto was honoured on Thursday following his contribution to grassroots football development in Mainland and Lagos at large.

The Coordinator of Eko Youth Grassroots Sports Development, EYGSD Lateef Ojora Ogunfowora presented a recognition award to the Oloto in his office for his contributions to youth sports development in Mainland and its environs.

Ogunfowora popularly known as Shevchenko told journalists that the award recipient deserved to be honoured saying that his contribution to youth development especially sports in the mainland motivated the association to honour him with such an award.

“Oloto has not only contributed to football development but he has used his resources to touch many lives of both young and old in Mainland local government. Oloto is well known in Mainland because of his humanitarian and love for sports, especially during the just concluded Aare Tomori William’s football competition. It is on this ground the association deems it fit to honour him with Award of Recognition which I believe it would motivate him to do more in Mainland and its environs,” he said.

Responding, Oloto who was full of joy, thanked EYGSD for the award bestowed on him. He said he did not know that such association had been watching him for a long time, saying that his contribution to football development in his local government was borne out of passion he has for youth and round leather game.

He said the award would spur him to do more and promised that he would bring more projects that would capture the youth in Mainland. He noted that if most of the youth are empowered, the rate of crime or social vices being perpetrated by the youths in the communities would be drastically reduced.

“I have won an award before but I must confess that I cherish this award because it comes from Eko Youth Grassroots Sports Development. The award serves as a motivation for me and I would do more for my communities within my own little capacities. I have not only contributed to sports, but I also touch lives in education, health, community, religion and other areas I cannot mention. Once again, I thank the association for presenting me this award and I promise that more empowerment schemes are coming in which youths would be benefited,” he said.
