Adaora’s Traditional Wedding & Huge Patronage For Local Vendors

Posted on August 12, 2024

Somethings were spectacular about Adaora’s traditional wedding. For me, what stood out the most was the huge patronage for Local vendors. The next was Gov. Soludo’s insistence that the entire event must hold within his modest village house. Some of us had suggested that the celebration be moved to a bigger school field in Isuofia so as to accommodate the anticipated crowd.

It was at this point Soludo retorted, “crowd kwa? O kwa obu Ada m ka ana gba nkwu ya? Onye ri sia, o kunie na ba be ya onye ozo e rie”.

Of course as anticipated the crowd yesterday day was overwhelming, dignitaries from all walks of life were in attendance. It was indeed “onye rie o kunie na ba ka onye ozo rie”. This was the only way my people, and it turned out to be such a massive fun outing.

A local Man remains a local man.

Charley Nwa Mgbafor and his wife Nonye Soludo were up and about serving guests regardless of the class of such guest. At this point in the picture above, I stood behind admiring my Boss and his sheer will to do his conviction without recourse to undue pressure. It was here he turned back, looked at me and said, “o kwa ozo si go gba chaa?” And I simply Called him, “Odenigbo!!”
