AFCON Viewing Centres: Lagos Fans Cheer Super Eagles To Victory (PHOTOS)

The mood was the same on Saturday across the ten centres which Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu opened for Lagosians to watch live football action from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations 2021 (AFCON).
Though they were not physically present at the Stade Roumdé Adjia in the northern Cameroonian town of Garoua, the spirit at these viewing centres showed that Lagos football fans were in one accord in unity to give full support to their darling team taking on Sudan’s Falcons of Jediane, and the game ended in a 3-1 victory for Nigeria to qualify for the Round of 16 at the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations.
The excitement was unprecedented at these viewing centres as the fans were joyful to see the Eagles’ sterling performance against the Sudanese.
The centres were set up at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Campos Mini Stadium Lagos Island, Abesan playground at Abesan Estate, Ajeromi Central Nursery and Primary School, New Road Ajegunle, Bishop Aggrey School Mushin, Epe Recreation Centre, Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park Yaba, Agege Stadium, Italewa Ikorodu and Badagry.
