African Stars Arrived Jo’burg For MAMAs 2016

The city of Johannesburg, South Africa is presently packed with some of the biggest names in both the African and international entertainment as the much anticipated MAMA 2016 holds tonight Saturday 22 October.

Top acts like American superstar Future; Nigeria’s Wizkid, Patoranking, Yemi Alade, Falz, YCee, Nasty C, Simi, Ghana’s Sarkodie; Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, Alikiba, among many others were all present at the MAMA 2016 press conference which held Friday, 21 October at the Sandton Hilton Hotel, Johannesburg.

The awards will take place at the TicketPro Dome and will be hosted by South African radio personality, Bonang Matheba alongside Yemi Alade and South African actress, Nomzamo Mbatha.

The definitive annual celebration of African and international talent and achievement, MAMA 2016 recognises and rewards musicians and achievers who have made the most impact on African music and youth culture over the previous year.

The ceremony will feature stunning performances from African and international artists along with the show’s signature cross-genre and cross-border collaborations.
