Akwukwu Community Pledges Support For Ekwunife

The campaign train of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and PDP Senatorial candidate for the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, today, 11th January, 2023, arrived Akwukwu in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State to seek for their support ahead of February 25th general elections.
 
The Lawmaker, while paying courtesy visit to the leadership of the community ably led by the President General, Chief Uchenna Anayo, officially informed them of her ambition to seek re-election to the Senate and thank them for their support in the previous elections. From the PG’s residence, the Senator and her entourage procceded to Akwukwu townhall to interact with men, women and youths of the community.
Receiving the PDP Senatorial Candidate, Ogbuefi Everest Ejimba (Nnanyelugo), thanked the Senator for the visit and highlighted that Ekwunife’s has more signature projects in Akwukwu than any other Senator the zone has produced and should be supported to return to the Senate.
Addressing the large gathering, Senator Ekwunife commended the leadership of Akwukwu community for the warm reception and noted that she has done so much for the people of the community, adding that Akwukwu should reward her good works with their support.
Speaking further, the quintessential Lawmaker stated that though, community projects cannot be same in all communities due to Federal Government considerations on project selection. She emphasized that it is better for the community to support a performing Lawmaker  than voting someone who doesn’t have the interest and needs of the people as a priority.
The Senator listed some of her achievements in Awkukwu as follows: supply of school materials to the Primary and Secondary schools in Akwukwu, Supply of  a tricycle to the Community, Supply of school furnitures to St. John Secondary school Akwukwu, Provision and Installation of Solar Street light, Free medical outreach in Awka-ukwu, Grants and federal government jobs to Akwukwu people amongst others.
The Lawmaker urged the community to support her to consolidate on her good services because she has better opportunity as a ranking Senator to attract more dividends of democracy. The Senator known as Madam project assured the gathering that if wins the election, she will attract more developmental projects in Akwukwu and urged the women to support their fellow woman who is doing well.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation was joined on the visit by the member representing Idemili North and South, Obinna Chidoka and PDP State Assembly Candidate for Idemili South Constituency, Dr. Aghasiefo Ekene Augustine amongst others.
