With barely two months to the Anambra State Governorship election, the need to sensitize the electorates on the importance of enthroning a political party that has the capacity and wherewithal to shoulder the challenges of governance has become imperative.

Consequently, the Senator Uche Ekwunife Movement has continued its ward to ward sensitization in support of the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Valentine Ozigbo.

The group during its meetings in Ifitedunu, Nawgu and Umudioka wards of Dunukofia local government on Saturday, September 4, 2021, interacted with some members of the grassroots and supporters of Senator Ekwunife stressing the need to support PDP in the upcoming governorship election.

Speaking at the separate meetings, the coordinator of the group in the local government, Mr Ikechukwu Ochibie noted that the PDP has positioned itself as the party of choice for Ndi Anambra. He noted that the upcoming election is an opportunity for the people of the state to enthrone a political party that is truely people-oriented, describing PDP as the most credible alternative for delivering purposeful governance in the state.

Mr. Ochibie appealed to the gathering to extend the same love and support they have for Senator Ekwunife to the PDP governorship candidate, assuring them that the party’s victory in the election will bring about unprecedented development in the state. Ochibie further assured the people of Senator Ekwunife’s resolve to uplift the living standards of constituents through facilitation of impactful and life-changing projects and programmes.

The enthusiastic supporters of the Senator, while expressing satisfaction over the quality of representation offered by the federal lawmaker in the zone, assured their support for the party ahead of the November 6 election. They hailed Senator Ekwunife for continuing to stand on the side of the grassroots and affirmed their resolve to vote and canvass for the party in the election.
