Two officers of Kick Against Indispline, KAI, Taiwo Haruna and Nurudeen Lawal have escaped death after an angry traders attacked and used stones to lynch them while they went to enforce Lagos street trading laws.

The incident happened at Caaso bus stop along Lagos -Abeokuta expressway where the officers had gone to arrest street traders.

The suspects, Solomon Ike and Omega Zebede were charged with conspiracy and attack on the victims by stoning them.

They pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Davis Abegunde granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum.

They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
