Any Politician Who Campaigns With Insecurity Is Suspect!

Valentine Ozigbo’s recent statements on insecurity in Anambra State reek of desperation and political opportunism. By lambasting the Governor Soludo administration, Ozigbo and his cohorts are openly attempting to score cheap political points and gain mileage for their own gubernatorial ambitions in 2025.

It’s appalling that Ozigbo is exploiting the genuine concerns of Anambra citizens for his own selfish interests. His criticisms of the government’s handling of insecurity are not only unfounded but also hypocritical, given his lack of concrete solutions to the problem.

Furthermore, Ozigbo’s alliance with Fr. Ebube Mmuonso is highly suspect. The priest’s own track record is questionable, and his involvement in politics is unbecoming of his ecclesiastical office. It’s clear that Ozigbo is in cahoots with Ebube Mmuonso to further his own political agenda, rather than genuinely addressing the security concerns of Anambra State.

Ozigbo’s statements are a classic case of political grandstanding, devoid of substance or sincerity. Rather than engaging in constructive criticism or offering viable solutions, he resorts to empty rhetoric and finger-pointing. This kind of opportunistic politics only serves to further polarize the state and undermine efforts to address the pressing issue of insecurity.

Anambra State deserves better than Ozigbo’s brand of politics. The citizens demand genuine leadership, not opportunistic grandstanding. It’s time for Politicians to put the interests of the state above their own political ambitions and engage in constructive dialogue to address the pockets of security challenges facing the State. But, this is an election year and so much in this is expected to be orchestrated by desperate Politicians who have nothing meaningful to campaign with.
