Arise TV Town Hall Meeting: Peter Obi’s Lacklustre Performance And His Imaginary Award Embellishment

Posted on November 7, 2022

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was revealed to be unqualified to serve as Grand Commander of the Federal Republic at the Town Hall meeting organized by Arise Television yesterday in Abuja for the four leading presidential candidates according to a public survey. Peter’s cognitive dissonance was out in full bloom, in addition to his bad performance and uninteresting reaction to the problems that are now affecting the country. The general public watched as the former Anambra State Governor struggled to focus on challenges and their solutions, and instead jumped to peripheral interferences to disguise his bad performance and grandstanding.

We also watched with concern as OBI struggled to list his accomplishments as Governor of Anambra State for eight (8) years; OBI hesitated to address a variety of direct concerns, including the IPOB movement in the South East, among others; instead, he mumbled.

The highlight of his awful performance at the Town Hall Meeting was his embellishment of himself with a fictional award for “best governor in road network in the south east,” which was one of his fraudulent praises. A quick fact check revealed that no reputable public-access platforms in the country or elsewhere offer a category for such awards.

Peter OBI has a reputation for fabricating fictitious accolades from thin-air in an effort to stroke his ego, make ridiculous claims, and con his uninformed followers into believing his lies without doing the necessary research.

Anambra State had the worst road network in the entire country when Peter OBI left office as governor in 2014, leaving behind more than 120 crumbling roads with the majority of villages in the state being unable to reach one another. When the Court ousted his predecessor, Dr. Chris Ngige, in 2006 for not being the legal victor of the State’s 2003 gubernatorial election, Peter Obi abandoned the urban renewal initiative embarked upon by the former only to chase shadows.

Peter Obi’s track record in Anambra State is utterly disgusting, disorderly, abhorrent, shameful and deplorable, and I’m concerned about how he managed to achieve the feats that would have made him the best governor in terms of the state’s road network given that 70 percent of Anambra communities was still deplorable and unconnected when he left office.

We insist that Peter OBI clearly reveal the source(s) of the platform(s) that named and honoured him as the best governor for road networks in Anambra State nay Nigeria.

On the same night, Peter Obi also failed to establish his plans on the issue of restructuring, which has been the bane of economic prosperity in Southeast and is also central to the yearnings of ndi-Igbo in Nigeria, amongst other critical issues.

The town hall meeting exposed Peter Obi as a kindergarten candidate who must apologise to Nigerians for his sustained grandstanding and take a bow as he is not what Nigeria needs to salvage and rebuild the country in 2023.
