“Following the mixed reactions trailing my piece entitled ‘Mixed Metaphors: Anambra’s Ebele Obiano’, I hereby wish to publicly tender my unreserved apology to the First Lady. Lately, I have perused the US healthcare policy, and discovered that the First Lady of Anambra is eminently qualified to be administered the Covid-19 vaccine, contrary to my earlier report. I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences the story might have caused the First Lady.” Sonala Olumhensee.

As it stands, the serial governorship aspirant in Anambra Gubernatorial elections, who allegedly bankrolled Sonala for the damaging article against Gov. Obiano’s wife, would have buried his empty head in the pillow sobbing, and gnashing his teeth in deepest regret. The short-fused man, who paid for the political hatchet job, is desperately fomenting troubles, and waiting for a dance of shame. The discerning knows that any attack on the First Lady, is a mortal affront, a disrespect, scornful abuse and direct attack on the sensibilities of ndi Anambra, and would not be treated with kid gloves. It will definitely not go unchallenged. The sweetest revenge for the affront, will be gross humiliation at the impending Gubernatorial polls; all the noisemakers incapable of convincing the electorates even with their arms and monetary gifts will be retired politically on the 6th of November, 2021.

It is on good record that Anambra First Lady had over the past years distinguished herself in the service to humanity, deploying God’s ordained societal status, and her NGO to better the lives of poor widows, downtrodden and hapless people in Anambra, and beyond. Anyone wishing to get at the Anambra State Governor or the ruling party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, by launching media attacks on the First Lady is not man enough. Such a shallow brain should be labelled a political weakling; one who is contemptibly lacking in the requisite credentials and courage to dominate the political scene; a buffoonish coward, who is headed for a thorough mass beating at the polls.

Obviously, Sonala would have funnily taken his Journalistic career that has spanned over three decades to the gutters, if he had failed to retract the sponsored, malicious story against Anambra First Lady. We all are witnesses to the biblical injunction which dictates that “to err is human, and forgive is divine”.  Presently, the sponsors of the maligning story published on punchng are panicky at the latest development, but Journalist Sonala Olumhensee has demonstrated uncommon courage. The truthfulness in his apology, desperately demands mercy.  Me, thinks he should be forgiven, but properly advised to pick up and revise his books on investigative journalism. Journalists are like watchdogs not lapdogs.

The opposition knows that it would be a disaster for any politician to ignore the vital role of women in Anambra politics, reason they are hell bent on smearing the image and profound reputation of the Anambra  First Lady, who has engraved her name in the hearts of Anambra women. She has beckoned on them to exhibit courage and fighting spirit, just as she urged them to make themselves available as foot soldiers during the forthcoming Gubernatorial elections. The serial blackmailer, who is desperate to occupy Agu Awka, will be the first to congratulate the next Governor of Anambra State come November 6, 2021.
