As part of the 10km Road Racev the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi Prof. Epiphtany Azinge, will on Saturday, lead a five-kilometer fitness walk as part of activities marking the maiden anniversary of his ascension to the royal throne.

The Chairman of the Media Committee for the 10-kilometer Road Race, Wing Commander, Peter Iweze (Rtd), disclosed that the walk is a special feature of the race events but designed strictly as a noble exercise for fitness.

He explained that while the 10km race is a competitive event, the 5km walk offers an opportunity for those not participating in the race to burn excess calories.

Iweze further revealed that the Asagba will personally lead the procession, while several nobles from surrounding communities, including many of the Obis within Asaba, have indicated interest in joining the royal walk.

The Media Committee chairman maintained that the date for the event remains October 4, 2025, emphasizing that the 5km walk will conclude well ahead of the 10km road race due to the difference in both distance and purpose.
