Atlas Cup:Chekas United Boss Assures Team’s Victory Against Red Tigers

Chairman of Chekas United Football Club, Chekwube Uzoegbo is confident that his team would book a place in round of 16 in the ongoing Atlas Cup taking place at the Coker Secondary School, Coker-Aguda, Lagos.

Chekas United would face uphill task as they confront Red Tigers FC in the round of 32 of Atlas Cup sheduled to hold on Saturday evening at Coker School, Lagos.

Uzoegbo in a chat with our correspondent admitted that the encounter would be tough but remained confident that his team would come out victorious.

“We’re playing against host team and I am aware the challenges ahead so the coaching crew are working hard to get good result against our opponents in order to reach round of 16.

“I am expecting nothing less than winning.I have a team that any opponent will be scared to meet and I wish my team all the best comes Saturday,”he said.

Uzoegbo also revealed that the tourney is prepared the team ahead of fusion league championship saying that the performance of the team so far in the Atlas Cup is very impressive.

“Atlas Cup is a platform for our players to showcase their talents and secondly the coaching crew are using the tourney to assess the players who are ready for future fusion league championship.

“I must confess that the players and coaching crew are doing well in the Atlas Cup and I believe that if we can continue like this, Chekas United would have good outing in fusion league championship,”he said
