Bet9ja Ekiti Football League: FA Unveils 16 Participating Teams

The pace is getting faster, just as  the pitch also gets higher, in anticipation of the epochal edition of the Bet9ja Ekiti Football League.

Towards having a near perfect league , the organizers, Ekiti State Football Association, after following rules and regulations guiding the league, have eventually released the list of the duly qualified 16 teams to take part in the league proper.

According to a statement from the FA Secretariat, the qualified teams covers all the senatorial districts in Ekiti state. From Central Senatorial District are Phoenix ASC, Ado Ekiti,  Soccer Academy, Igede Ekiti,  EKSU Galaticos, Iworoko, Ajibade FC, Ado Ekiti,  Ijero FC, Ijero Ekiti, and United FC, Ijero, and from Ekiti North Senatorial District are:  Ikole United FC, Ikole Ekiti,  Ifaki United FC, Ifaki Ekiti, Ifishin Development FC, Ifishin Ekiti and Odun Memorial, Oye Ekiti.

Other teams also participating are  Moyero FC, Ikere Ekiti, Kola Babes FC, Ilawe Ekiti, Ikere United FC, Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti East United FC, Omuo Ekiti, Ojorube FC, Ogotun Ekiti and  Petemmal FC, Ise Ekiti, representing Ekiti South Senatorial District.

The organizers stressed further that the 16 teams, which will be divided into four groups of four teams each, will vie for the mouth watering N1m cash prize. The teams will  also be kitted in beautiful and colourful Bet9ja branded jerseys.

Meanwhile, the organizers are expected to begin the inspection of stadia and facilities of the participating teams during the week in preparations for the league proper that begins 23 July, 2019, across eight different centres in the state.
