Bodyweapon Academy Honours Parents, Patrons On 18 December

Lagos foremost taekwondo outfit, Bodyweapon Taekwondo Academy will next Saturday, 18 December roll out the drums in celebration of patrons and parents who have over the years distinguished themselves in the service of the organisation.
The event will take place at the Academy’s base at Alagbado Frontliners Schools in Lagos.
Also, during the occasion, some practitioners would be graded and elevated in rank.
The event, which will herald the end of the year for the academy, would be presided over by the doyen of Nigeria taekwondo, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, 9th Dan and supported by some big guns in the martial art.
Over twenty parents and patrons would be honoured and inducted into Nigeria’s Taekwondo Hall of Fame.
Prominent among those to be honoured are Bishop Gbenupo Hunnu-Moiett, a finance and banking expert, Mr. Jerome Braih, a player in the Real Estate sub-sector of the economy and the Media and Protocol Director of the Academy, Mrs. Esther Aliu, an educationist and proprietor of Frontliners Schools in Lagos and Mrs. Adetola Oluwaseyi, chief executive officer of Shenex Group who is also the Welfare Director of the Academy.

Chief Instructor of the Academy, Emmanuel Banjo said the aforementioned awardees and others would be inducted into the Hall of Fame of the prestigious Federal Blackbelt College and decorated with the World Taekwondo uniform and blackbelt.
Mr. Banjo said aside from the patrons and parents who will be honoured, some practitioners would be elevated from white belt to yellow belt and from red belt to black belt.
The instructor said Saturday would be another landmark in the history of the Academy which was founded in the year 2010.
