Bose Kaffo, Others Appointed, As Sanwo-Olu Reconstitutes Board Of Lagos Sports Commission

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reconstituted the Board of Lagos State Sports Commission bringing in a former Nigerian table tennis woman player, Bose Kaffo and other notable personalities to beef up the Board.

Bose Kaffo is a Nigerian table tennis players competed at five Olympics from 1992 to 2008.

Kaffo’s records in world sports are worthy of note, as she is the second Nigerian woman to compete at five Olympics. She has won fifteen medals (seven gold) in singles and doubles at six consecutive All-Africa Games from 1987 to 2007, winning at least one medal at each Games. In Singles, she won gold in 1995, silver in 1999 and 2007, and bronze in 2003.[2] In Doubles, she won gold in 1995, 1999, and 2003, silver in 1991, and bronze in 2007.In Mixed Doubles, she won gold in 1991 1995 and 1999 along with silver in 1987 and 2003 and bronze in 2007.Nigeria has won team gold at all All-Africa Games.

P.M. EXPRESS reports that Governor Sanwo-Olu appointed Bose Kaffo into the Board as the representative of Ikeja Division.

The Executive Chairman, Mr. Sola Aiyepeku and the Director General, Mr. Shakirudeen Oluwatoyin Gafaar retained their respective seats in the reconstituted Board.

Others are in the new Board include Mr. Olaposi Agunbiade, who is representing  Lagos Sports Trust Fund, Dr. Abiodun Fatai Abatan, representing  Ikorodu Division, Dr. Abatan is a senior lecturer in the department of Political Science, Lagos State University (LASU), Olanrewaju Minasu Saidi, representing  Badagry Division, Adeshina  Ogundimu representing Lagos Division and Mr. Musiliu Olanrewaju Olowu representing Epe Division.Others are Mrs Lawal Kafilat Abiola, Mr. Damilare Orimoloye representing  the Youth, Mrs. Olu -Young Olufunke Florence representing the Ministry of Education, Ms. Dolapo Oluwatosin Agbede representing People living with disabilities and Mrs. Bolaji Pearse who is the Legal Officer, Lagos State Sports Commission /Board Secretary. 
The reconstitution of the Board is to give the  Sports Commission a new face to meet up with the mandate of making Lagos State Sports hub not only in Nigeria but Africa in general.

The appointment of the reconstituted Board of the Lagos State Sports Commission is with immediate effect.
