Burna Boy, Asake, Rema Dominate As Organisers Unveil 16th The Headies Nominees List

Smooth Productions, the organisers of The Headies on Wednesday announced the much-anticipated nominees for the 16th edition of the Awards.

The list of nominees for the 16th Headies showcases both established acts that continue to set new standards and emerging talents now making their mark in the music industry.

The Headies Awards is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry across genres, and artistry.

It is also committed to reflecting the diverse and vibrant music landscape in Africa.

This year, the theme of The Headies is ‘Celebrating African Renaissance’.

Only music materials including singles, videos, EPs and Albums released and distributed on digital streaming platforms within the year in review (January 2022 and March 2023) were considered for nomination.
