Buruj Sports Academy will on Tuesday afternoon confront FC Bethel as the management and technical department intensify their selection process for the next foreign trip.
The match, which will commence by 2.00pm at Araromi Grassroots Sports Center, Gbagada, Lagos, will be a follow-up to the ones that were organised in recent past to test both the new and old set of players being put together by the management.
According to the release ahead of what promises to be an explosive encounter, FC Bethel is a team that is based in Maracana Stadium, Ijora, and they are expected to provide the kind of sterner test the team need as the technical bench are working day and night to raise a strong team consisting of young but exciting soccer talents who should be able to sell themselves to seasoned scouts and coaches during the trip.
Just last weekend, the management of the academy disclosed that 10 players have already emerged from the bunch in camp, while 13 more will be shortlisted based on timely registration and performance in friendly games like the one against FC Bethel and more to come.
Aside from traveling to feature in world-class tournaments, players who register and get the nod to be part of the trip are guarantee trials with some foreign clubs in they can excel during the tourney.
It would be recalled that, Buruj Sports Academy represented the country in this year’s edition of both the English and Welsh Super Cup in Manchester and Cardiff respectively.
They returned to the country in August and have since swung into action as windows of opportunity have opened in other European countries for tournaments and trials.
