The technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, Bitrus Bewarang has praised the efforts of the technical crew of the Super Eagles for qualifying for the semi – final of the on – going CHAN tournament , but admitted that the team is still a work in progress .

According to the Plateau state – born football technocrat the team must improve in the art of goals scoring,  stressing that the team lost so many goals scoring opportunities in the game, as he noted that Nigeria would have wrapped up the game in the first half if the team had converted the chances created .

” The team won , but they failed to convert many goals scoring opportunities they created and the players had to labour very hard to equalise and eventually win the game in the extra time.” Bewarang said.

He added : ” This team showed resilient to win against Angola, but the players must avoid unnecessary errors that might ruin the day for Nigeria against Sudan”

The Super Eagles will tackle Sudan in the semi final game that will be played in another Moroccan city of Marakesh on Wednesday .
