Chief Ochuko Launches ‘Gospel Music Hangout’

With almost 30 years in the showbiz business, popular television presenter, Omiragwa Ochuko Derek better known as ‘Chief Ochuko’ with Wazobia Max TV/FM has launched another platform for the creative industry called the ‘Gospel Music Hangout.’

The maiden edition held on 24 September 2023 and featured Deacon Buchi as Special Guest. Subsequently, the event holds every last Sunday of every three months (quarterly) at Kulture Yard, Boet Estate, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja Lagos from 4 -7pm.

According to Derek who anchors ‘The Gudu Morning Naija Show’ and one of the five nominated contestants for the TV Presenter of the Year Award at the maiden edition of the just concluded Nigeria Broadcasting Award organisesd by the Broadcasting Association of Nigeria (BON), the ‘Gospel Music Hangout’ is a spotlight to showcase up and coming gospel artistes and groups.

“It promises to be a platform with enormous potential because of the experienced backroom producers/staffs alongside the large pool of talent(s) available for every event. All interested participants and partners are welcomed,” says Derek who also doubles as a show promoter, events talent manager.
