CodeLagos Kicks Off With Train-The-Trainers Session

Lagos State is pushing forward by leveraging technology and internet connectivity to deliver quality education to pupils in public schools in line with goals 4, 9, and 10 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On Monday, all roads led to the Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba, and State Junior School, Ipaja, Lagos for the Master Trainers’ Onboarding Session as about 100 Facilitators were taken through the basics and fundamentals of coding as well as prepare them ahead of the coding classes across Lagos State primary and secondary schools.

The sessions which was anchored by the Delivery Partners also provided opportunity for new facilitators to get familiar with programming language and teaching techniques for coding as the programme kicks off on Monday across public and private primary and secondary schools across Lagos State.

While addressing newsmen, Mr Adedipo Olagbegi of Spark IT Bootcamp, the official Training Partner for CodeLagos, noted that the Code Lagos In – School programme is meant to prepare Lagos State students to meet new workforce demands, harness the benefits of technology, and be able to communicate in the language of the future.
