Commuters, Drivers Hail Sanwo-Olu For Providing Logistics For LASTMA

Motorists and bus drivers plying Lagos roads have heaped praises on Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for providing about ten brand new operational vehicles for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA to enable them continue to serve the public effectively in Lagos metropolis in traffic management and stop personnel from further using unapproved vehicles such as seven passengers bus popularly called Korope in their operations in the State.

Some of those who spoke with our Correspondent at Ajah, Obalende, Mile 2, Ikorodu and Abule Egba area of Lagos commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for listening to the public complaints about the worrisome state of seeing LASTMA personnel using unapproved vehicles for their operations.

They said it was not only an eyesore but denting the good image of the Lagos State Government as the Centre of Excellence.

They appealed to the Governor to complete his gesture and provide more vehicles for the LASTMA to cover all their offices to permanently stop personnel from further using unapproved vehicles for their operations.

The motorists appealed to the LASTMA personnel to use the vehicles for the purpose it is provided and not solely for the reckless blocking of errant motorists or  chasing after freeing vehicles to avoid damages to the vehicles.

The drivers praised Sanwo-Olu for his unprecedented achievements since assuming office in areas of road, bridge, blue and red rail lines, provision of quality and affordable health care, security and the zeal with which he battled the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

They further commended the Governor for his spiritual foresight in appointing a LASTMA insider, Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan, who they said have reformed and transformed the LASTMA to acceptable standard, stopping public noise on the radio, television  and newspapers about LASTMA personnel operations with the introduction of public Toll free Lines: 080000527862 and 080000LASTMA within just a year and few months of assuming office.
