Conscious music maestro, Patrick Osagie Osakue, otherwise known as P.VOO who made an interesting return to business of entertainment not too long after 10years of hibernation has taken a hard look at the Nigerian youths restive disposition which engulfed the whole country like a thick smoke few months ago.

In a recent chat, P.VOO submitted that Nigerians, especially these youths, need conscious music to emancipate themselves from the shackles of ignorance and foolishness.

“In other words, only concerns music can salvage Nigerians, especially our youths from the sackles of ignorance and economic deprivation in the midst of plenty,” he stated.

The release done in pidgin English Language and in typical Abanni Eda fashion in lyrics, arrangement and rendition was meant to sensitive the downtroddon, especially the youths against unfavourable policies of some heartless elites in government.

The grey bearded entertainer, who may have been heavily influenced by Late Fela, maintained that Nigerian acts should always package songs that focus on the challenges and travails of Nigerians, especially the youths facing the fall out of these wicked policies of those in power.

The proactive act, however, applauded the swift intervention of President Buhari in the last national protest which engulfed Nigeria for quite sometime.

He urged the governors to cue into that example, giving the youths what they are asking for.

“This should be done in such a way that youths can feel and believe in the efforts, thereby bringing the needed solution bound to bring down tension on the long run,” he submitted.
