Olopade Applauds Growth of Wheelchair Basketball in Nigeria

The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade has applauded the growth of Wheelchair basketball in Nigeria.

Speaking during the closing of a two-day Wheelchair basketball tournament put together by two foreign based players Tope Ogunyemi and Musbau at the National Institute of Sports in Lagos, the DG who a for President of the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation thanked the two players for deeming it fit to give back to the Sport.

He promised that the NSC will do everything to make the sport more popular in Nigeria.

“I am delighted to see that Wheelchair basketball has continued to witness growth in the last couple of years and the National Sports Commission will do it’s bit to popularise the sport.

The four team tournament was won by Ogun State with Oyo State came second while Lagos State finished third with Kwara State taking the last slot.
