He also reiterated his commitment, readiness, and determination to achieve new, different, productive and sustainable achievements in the sporting history of Lagos State.

“Our determination is to grow raw talents who can continue to be the stars, who will win laurels in Lagos, Nigeria and on the global stage. Mr. Governor is devoting so much in terms of human resources and material resources to ensure that we have more development within our sporting ecosystem. So, there should be a focus not just on growth we must now focus on the retention of these talents.

“We can use our own capacity and ability to either export these talents for our economic growth or for more attention in terms of entertainment or changing the perspective generally in terms of what Lagos is contributing to the pool.”

While commending the role of the association chairmen in driving the wheel of sports development, he assured them that it would be a season of glory in different ways, from the perspective of improved welfare for athletes and robust support for all the sports associations.

The association chairmen unanimously pledged their unwavering support to the Lagos State Sports Commission to empower young talents through developmental programmes.
