Director General Gafaar Commends Parents For Being Part Of Team Lagos Outing At Asaba 2023 Youth Games

The Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar could not hide his appreciation to all the parents of the athletes competing in the ongoing 7th National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta 

P.M. EXPRESS reports that some of the parents flew down from Lagos to watch their wards in action in different sports. They could be seen at the venues of swimming inside Stephen Keshi Stadium and Ibori Golf Club where eight years old Funmilayo Beauty Oyero is featuring in the golf events.

“We are forging a strong synergy with our stakeholders, most especially the parents and I want to commend all parents of these kids for believing in us by releasing their children to participate in the Youth Games. I am happy that we have some of them here who came all the way from Lagos to see things for themselves, and feelers I got from them has been that they are happy seeing their children making the state proud. I must confess, I really appreciate all our parents for their support,” Gafaar said.

Gafaar also commended the support from various clubs in Lagos for their support towards Lagos outing in the ongoing Games, saying that the mutual working relationship between the Sports Commission and various clubs in Lagos is helping sports development in the state.
