Dr Tandoh To Chair African Table Tennis Federation’s Youth Committee

One of Nigerian notable sports administrators has once again brought honour to the country as he has been appointed to a working committee of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).

Report from Cairo, Egypt Headquarters of the ATTF early on Saturday has it that Dr Kweku Tandoh has been appointed the Chairman of the Youth Committee of African Table Tennis Federation for the next three years.

A letter of the appointment sent to the former Executive Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission and signed by the ATTF president, Khaled El-Salhy reads: “Congratulations, On behalf of the ATTF Executive Committee, I have the pleasure to send special congratulations for your appointment as Chairman of the Youth Committee during the current period of 2021-2024.

“This is due to your remarkable achievements within the African Table Tennis Field. A complete list of appointed committees’ members is attached herewith and it has been circulated to all Africa Member Associations. I wish the best of luck for the whole group of such committee under your leadership.”

Dr Tandoh has held many positions in the body of international table tennis, he was once the Tournament Director of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Nigeria Open Challenge Plus. Tandoh’s over 30 years of experience in sports administration has added value to the organization of the ITTF Nigeria Open Challenge Plus, an Africa’s elite table tennis tournament.

He was also the Consultant to the Local Organising Committee (LOC), of the Edo 2020 National Sports Festival.

Dr Tandoh is a strong business development professional with training in Strategy and Leadership from Harvard University, had a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery – MBBS with a focus in Medicine from College of Medicine, University of Lagos and also a Diploma holder in Advanced Sports Management from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
