Ebonyi Doctor, GOC, Receives C’wealth Ambassador Award

An Ebonyi medical doctor and philanthropist, Dr. Gideon Osi Chidiebere, popularly called GOC,has been honoured with the Commonwealth Ambassador award in Abuja on Thursday, PM EXPRESS can report. 

In the citation read during the award ceremony, GOC was eulogised to  have excelled in public service having served in various agencies, ministries and departments, these agencies include, Federal Staff Hospital of the Federal Ministry of Health Annex II, Abuja , Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and Sure-P MCH.

Whilst bestowing the award and medal on GOC, former Deputy- Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Mantu described him as a shining star amongst the Nigerian youth and urged him to continue to work round the clock for the greatness of the country.

GOC, who received the award for his distinguished public service ,philanthropy as well as youth advocacy, described the award as a testament to the grace of God upon his life. He dedicated the award to the Nigerian youth who he said held within their hands the great future of the country.

He also promised to do more, describing the Commonwealth Ambassadors Award as another feather to his cap and that he was much encouraged by it.
