Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo, a leading APGA senatorial aspirant for Anambra South, has been inducted as a Patron of the Great Pillars of Anambra Brothers Club, during the official opening of its new arena in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The event, which drew over 500 prominent sons of Anambra, marked the inauguration of both the club’s headquarters and its renewed commitment to service, progress, and humanitarian advancement.

Founded by Chief Chukwudebe Francis (Okeziribe Ifitedunu) and co-founded by Hon Arinzechukwu Okoye (Divine Arisco), the Great Pillars of Anambra Brothers Club has established itself as an emerging force for social development, attracting entrepreneurs, politicians, and philanthropists from across the state and beyond.

The launch was attended by a wide range of distinguished figures, including Chief Daniel Chukwudozie of Dozzy Oil and Senator Tony Nwoye. Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, represented by Dr Alex Obiogbolu, officially declared the event open, underlining the state government’s endorsement of the Club’s initiatives.

Key moments of the ceremony included the decoration of new Patrons and Grand Patrons. Chief Daniel Chukwudozie was named Grand Patron, while HRM, Dr Ebuka Onunkwo, Chief Vincent Udodi, Dr Sir J. I. Ukeji (_Ejison_), Chief Obinna Iyiegbu (_Obi Cubana_), Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (_Ikukuoma_), and Chief Cosmos Oguguo Agagbo were inducted as Patrons.

In his address, Chief Dr Onunkwo praised the leadership of the Club for their vision and resolve, describing the establishment of the arena as “a noble step in the right direction”. He expressed particular support for the Club’s proposed world-class hospital project, calling it “a transformational initiative” for healthcare in Anambra.

To further the Club’s objectives, Chief Dr Onunkwo pledged a donation of ₦10 million, describing it as a contribution to ongoing humanitarian and infrastructural development efforts.

“The Great Pillars of Anambra Brothers have done great service to humanity. Their efforts will be rewarded not just by men but by God Almighty,” he said, urging members to remain united and focused on future ambitions.

The event, chaired by businessman and philanthropist, Chief, Obinna Iyiegbu, featured live music, cultural performances, and a strong display of solidarity among members.

Also recognised was Chief Darlington Nwanukinke (Ogbala aku n’anwu Ojoto), Chairman of De Imperial Club of Nigeria, honoured for his contributions to the social and business communities.

The opening of the Great Pillars of Anambra Brothers Arena, organisers said, symbolises a broader movement towards collective empowerment, with Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo’s induction highlighting his growing role in fostering community development and leadership across Anambra State.
