Education: Minister Commissions Building At FGC, Owerri

The Honourable Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education yesterday, 19th February, 2021, commissioned and received the ownership of a storey building of 6 classrooms donated by the Old Girls Association of the Federal  Government Girls College, Owerri.

The Honourable Minister commended the Association for the gift and their commitment in uplifting the quality of education in their Alma-mater while enjoining other citizens to get involved in nation building as the government alone can’t do the job of taking our nation to where it should be.

The Minister further avowed the government’s  commitment in developing education in Nigeria. He stated that there is an urgent need to get the FGGC Owerri a bigger site for the school as it is the most sought Federal Government Girls College.

The Honourable Minister was accompanied by the Hon Commissioner  for Education, Imo State, Prof B.T.O Ikegwuoha. Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, Hon Commissioner for Works , Imo State, Lady Dr. Love Ineh, Sir. Frank Ibezim among other dignitaries.
