Eight Teams Ready For Tinubu Cup In Alimosho

The much awaited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu female football competition tagged “ABAT Cup” will begin on Wednesday at Igando football playground, Alimosho, Lagos.

The tournament is being sponsored by sports philanthropist, Chief Iyke Madu Obi, as part of his support to the presidential candidate of All Progressive Party, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of presidential election scheduled for 25th February, 2023.

In the fixtures released by the organisers,the opening match would be played between Aseyori Queens of Owode-egba and Ijamido Queens of Sango by 2pm, while Young Achievers of Ikorodu battle SGH Sports Amazon of Agege by 4pm.

The chairman Organising Committee, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi told our correspondent that the competition is organised to campaign for Asiwaju Tinubu in order to win the general presidential election scheduled for this month.

He also said teams were selected based on their football pedigree in the state and urged them to play the game according to the rules throughout the tournament.

He further said the tournament is knockout format noted that winners in each game would progress to the semi final stage and wished all the teams all the best.
