Ekiti State-Born Coach, Anjorin Eyes Super Falcons Job

Head coach of (football) Ekiti State Sports Council , Olawale Kehinde Anjorin has revealed his readiness to coach the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Anjorin told P.M. EXPRESS that he decided to submit his application as assistant coach of the senior female national in order to contribute his own quota to the female senior national team.

Nigeria Football Federation NFF is shopping for head coach that will handle the Falcons ahead of future continental and intercontinental football competitions.

Anjorin who has CAF C and B licensed certificates said he decided to apply for the assistant coach job of Super Falcons in order to assist the head coach to scout for local female players who can make the country proud in future competitions.

“People would be shocked that a coach like me should not apply for assistant coach of the Falcons,  but let me say it is better i do that so that as an assistant coach, I will compliment the work of the head coach to take the team to the next level in so many ways.

“We have good crop of young players in the premier and professional league and it is left for the coach to identify these hungry talented players,” said.

 Anjorin said that he is ready to work with either local or expatriate coach who will be the head coach of the national team.

Anjorin said his experiences in female football over the years would give him an edge to get the job.

“Some female coaches and players know me in this country, but I am waiting for this opportunity to tell the whole world that I am good and better to become one of the assistant coaches of the female national team if I am invited for interview,” he said.

The Ekiti State-born coach formed and handled the defunct Fasuba Queens, also tutored Fountain FC. He was also a former coach of Ajiroba Ooni FC. He was also a former coach of Ekiti United FC and currently handling Team Ekiti male football team and qualified them for the 2020 Edo National Sports Festival.
