A 26-year old suspected fraudster, Efe Ezenwa, who was arrested for allegedly defrauding a married woman (name withheld) and engaged her in a marathon sex, has confessed that he enjoyed doing so to satisfy his desire.

Ezenwa, who was arrested and paraded by the police in Lagos for his alleged involvement in fraud and rape of his victims after duping them, said he had duped many people mostly women and he virtually slept with most of them including married ones before he allowed them to go.

Speaking on how he was arrested, Ezenwa said his latest victim was duped of N48,000 and she was so bitter over what happened to her that she reported to the police.

He said he offered to refund the money but the victim said she wanted him to be punished for sexual assault after duping her.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident.

Ezenwa, father of two, said most of the victims were driven by greed and that he slept with them so that whenever they remembered it, they will stop being greedy.

“I will not deny, I have duped many people and slept with victims but I have not killed any of them directly or indirectly,” Ezenwa confessed.

The suspect, who hails from Ngwa, Abia State, South-east Nigeria, said he joined the local fraudsters, popularly known as 419, operating at Ijeshatedo area of Surulere, Lagos after he was equally duped.

He said he was selling clothes and was coming to Lagos from Aba weekly to buy the goods before he was duped.

He said it was the same greed that made him to lose N750,000 to fraudsters when he came to Lagos to buy goods.

Ezenwa said after he was duped, he could not go back to Aba and decided to stay back in Lagos and joined the gang to defraud other people.

He said when he was duped, he thought he was charmed to part with his money but it was when he joined them that he realized that before one would fall victim, such person must be the greedy type.

Ezenwa revealed that there were many ‘419’ gangs operating in Lagos with their operational bases in Ijesha, Ilasa, Isolo and other areas of the state.

DSP Badmos said Ezenwa will be prosecuted after conclusion of investigation.
