Ex Falconets Goalie, Aluko Down With Breast Cancer, Seeks Help From Nigerians

Former Rivers Angels and Falconets goalkeeper, Bidemi Aluko is sick.

P.M. EXPRESS understands that Aluko has been battling with breast cancer since 2017.

“I was diagnosed of breast cancer in 2017. The doctors recommended that I would take 10 dose of Herceptin treatment and each cost N470, 000.  Now, I need N5m for the whole drugs, which I will be taking every two weeks ” Aluko told a delegation of National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (NANPF) who paid her a visit at her residence in Ejioku, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Aluko who disclosed that she has been battling with breast cancer since 2017, expressed her gratitude to the members of NANF for the visit, adding that it would help to strengthen her in the battle against the deadly disease.

She went on to plead to corporate bodies and well placed individuals to come to her assistance.

The delegation of the players’ union led by its General Secretary, Comrade Austin Popo, stated that the visit was premised on the body’s unrelenting desires to ensure that the welfare of past and current footballers is given top priority at all times.

Popo also admonished well placed Nigerians to come to the aid of the cancer stricken Aluko and make her live a healthy life again.

“We are begging Nigerians to come out and assist this young lady in her battle against cancer. We are renowned as compassionate and generous people. We must not allow Aluko to die,” Popo, a former Nigeria and NNB star pleaded.
